Grundy Audit

State officials point to the opening of the new law enforcement center as adding greatly to the economic well being of Groundy County. They say sales taxes haven't dipped but remained constant in the past two years, which they view as positive. State auditors also seemed pleased with Grundy County's general fund, which increased more than $330,000 over the two-year period. They say that's remarkable considering the tough economic conditions and increased costs of fuel, materials, equipment, and utilities that Groundy County government has to pay.
