Wet Harvest

The wet conditions the past several weeks have made getting the crop out very challenging, but local experts say producers have been forced to rotate to the best drainning fields. Holt County regional agronomist Wayne Flannery says if there's a break in the weather, there's no reason to wait. Flannery says the talk of letting it stand through the Winter is not a good idea, as ear droppage, animal foraging, and disease could make corn loss even higher.
