Stranger Danger

The department of public safety tells us of a report of an 8 year old girl walking to her bus stop that asked her if she wanted a ride to school. The man was reportedly standing next to his truck with the door open. It's described as a newer model pick up, possible gray or blue in color. It may have an extended cab. The girls also described it as having a more rounded front end than being square. The girl ran away and the suspect left the area. The suspect is described as a white thin male with dark blue jeans, red button up shirt and a red baseball cap. Investigators say the incident happened a week ago and if you have any information that could help you're asked to call Maryville public safety or the sheriff's office.
