2009-11-10ST. JOSEPH, MO. | By: Wayman
One of just 13 in Missouri to use the program, St. Joseph students are applying skills to solve realistic, health-care related problems while gaining exposure to potential careers. Students are also enrolled in college-preparatory math and science classes. Organizers of the curriculum say it gets high school students thinking about high-wage, high-demand jobs in the biomedical sciences field. It began in Missouri just 3 years ago with 5 pilot schools.
