ST. JOSEPH, MO (2009-10-20) Residents of St. Joseph could soon be next in line for the H1N1 vaccine.
Although vaccinations for the seasonal flu have been ongoing, officials at the St. Joseph Health Department say the H1N1 shipments are coming in small shipments and healthcare providers and high-risk individuals are the first to get the vaccines. Health Department spokeswoman Nancy Taylor says distribution is a matter of getting the H1N1 vaccine in. Taylor hopes about a thousand doses of the H1N1 vaccine will be available to the public in the first round. She says they're also partnering with pharmacies and clinics in St. Joseph to get as many venues as possible.
