Savannah Water

The city had promised no rate increase to get bonds passed to build a new water plant. But city administrator Mike Fisher says old water meters are losing about 5% of the water Savannah pays for. Fisher also says the City could be selling the water too cheaply to its wholesale customer- the Andrew County Public Water District Number 3. Fisher says no increases are taking effect, but the council will have to consider what to do in the coming months, adding they're already negotiating with the Andrew Water District about the costs.
