Speaking yesterday at Northwest Missouri State, Paul Wagner says there may even be a 53 million dollar shortfall for State Colleges and Universities in a year and a half. He says that's because Missouri's entire budget revenue is tied so closely to income tax, and unless more jobs are filled the picture may not improve. Wagner says the "Catch-22" key to helping the State budget picture is an educated workforce. Wagner credits Northwest for already saving money with its alternative energy programs and other innovations, but says that does make it hard to cut any more. Wagner's entire lecture to the Campus Community can be heard on our website www.kxcv.org
