2009-09-09MARYVILLE, MO | By: Wayman
Dignitaries gathered yesterday morning for the ribbon cutting of the Asphalt Spur that connects Maryville's proposed trails with the Mozingo Trails System. Missouri partnered with the City during the recent re-paving of Highway 136 to extend the shoulders and incorporate the hike/bike path. Bob Cooper has been a member of the grass-roots Nodaway County trails incorporated since its inception and says the trails mean Health, Lifestyle, and Recreation. When the In-City and Mozingo Trails are completed the community will have about 50 miles worth of trails which could eventually connect into neighboring towns as well.
