MARYVILLE, MO (2009-09-17) Three regional educators have combined forces to publish a book aimed at keeping new teachers in the classroom.
"Teacher's Tackle Box" is a user-friendly book written by administrator and Northwest professor Dr. Joyce Piveral, St. Joseph career teacher and therapist Nancy Piercy, and nationally recognized science teacher Sue Nothstine. It covers everything frmo dealing with parents and administrators to motivational and inspirational techniques for students. Piercy says it's aimed as a solution to a serious problem plaguing our region and nation. The three authors of the "Teacher's Tackle Box" are holding a series of teacher's workshops using their experience tomorrow and also next month throughout the region.
