Rural Crime

More than 3.4 million dollars in Federal Stimulus Money is going to the Missouri Highway Patrol to establish the "Rural Crimes Task Force". Just last week a cattle theft scheme in Southern Missouri was busted using the Task Force. In that case more than 48 head of cattle were recovered. The Rural Crimes Task Force is designed to help the highway patrol work with local authorities on cases in rural areas across Missouri. The governor created it after sighting an increasing number of crimes being committed against farmers and their property.
