PAGE COUNTY, IOWA (2009-09-21) Emergency management operators from around our region are making this month as National Preparedness Month.
Created after the 9.11 terrorist attacks, it's a chance for the professionals as well as citizens to think through emergency plans. Rod Riley is Page County Iowa's emergency management director and says they've been working closely with schools and the public on emergency plans, but says it's important for you to have one too. National Preparedness Month will Dove-Tail into October, which is National Fire Prevention Month.
