DAWN, MO (2009-09-01) Dawn Missouri is the tiny town of less than 650 people, but it might be immortalized in a documentary premiering tonight.
Margie Yansura returns to her parent's hometown for the annual "Dawn Day" fish fry, and decided to work with a professional video crew to capture some of the hometown lore. Called "A Portrait of Small Town America then and Now", she says she interviewed locals from high schoolers to residents in ther 90's, and made quite a few discoveries herself. The premier of the documentary will be shown tonight in a "Free Picture Show" Style-Venue in downtown Dawn at sundown.
