C-Cert Sessions

The Campus Community Emergency Response Team training will be offered to Northwest students, faculty and staff. The sessions, starting Wednesday, September 16, from 6 to 10 PM, will be in room 1150 of the Garrett-Strong science building. Trainers for the sessions include Dr. John Fisher, a assistant professor of communication, associate professor of geography Dr. Mark Corson and Dr. April Haberyan, assistant professor of psychology. C-Cert offers training in disaster response including Light Search and Rescue, Fire Safety, Team Organizations and Disaster Medical Operations. Dr. Corson wants those who would like to join to know what it feels like to know you can do something if needed. The courses are offered over three Wednesday nights, the 16th, 23rd and 30th in addition to an all day Saturday session from 8 AM to 4 PM the 26th. Attendance is required at all four sessions.
