Hiawatha City Commission Meeting

Commission Members approved a resolution for The City of Hiawatha to issue health facilities revenue bonds to finance the cost of the additions to The City's Hospital. Board Members also discussed a seven step plan to survey current well systems within the city to test for nitrate levels. The plan is only in the beginning stages, but would allow for a 5 member committee to identify present and potential nitrate problems within The City's Water System. Also approved at the meeting was the closing of the 700 block of Kickapoo on September 26th for an auction at The Hiawatha Greenhouse.
