Grant City License

It's part of a new process implemented by governor Jay Nixon meant to replace a system that awarded offices to people based on political connections. All of Missouri's 183 Local License Offices are required to go through the competitive bidding process this year. The Grant City and Stanberry Offices are some of the last ones to be put up for bid in the State. Any interested person is welcome to submit detailed plans explaining how they will improve operations. Officials stress that bidders need to be specific about how they will deal with customer complaints, assist elderly or disabled patrons measure customer satisfaction, and cope with peak customer demands. Bids for the Stanberry Motor Vehicle License Office are due on September 15th. Grant City Bids are due September 29th.
