Now in its 25th year, The Freshmen Advantage Week starts today with specific classes focused on how to teach incoming University Students The Culture of Northwest. Faculty and Student Advisors are gaining expertise from Dr. John Garnder, a leader in the field for decades. Gardner says the first year experience is unlike any other students have faced in high school, and likens focused Freshmen Seminar Classes to his military experience. Gardner says Northwest's Advantage Week eases the freshmen experience through exposure to new people, The Culture of The Campus, and new skills all combining to improve The Academic and Social Components of a University Experience.
