Robert Dieker's sentence is 8 years in The State Penitentiary. In struggling to make the prison sentence, judge Roger Prokes called the situation a "Strange, Sad, Sad Case". Dieker's attorney alleged he provided his wife's work schedule, photos, and license plate number to an undercover law enforcer posing as a hired killer because their daughter was allegedly being molested by his wife's brother. The judge also noted Dieker might also have lower than average intelligence. In the end he was sentenced to the 8 years in prison he could have gotten up to 15 years for the conspiracy to commit murder.
