Puppetfest takes place tomorrow through Saturday in Trenton with events for the general public as well as registered puppeteers.

Workshops will take place throughout the day each day teaching puppeteers everything from how to make shadow puppets to how to use their voices.

A performance open to the general public will be held each evening at the Hoover Theater on the third floor of the Grundy County Jewett Norris Library.

Festival Director Debbie Allen says tickets can be purchased in advance or the night of the show.

A puppet exhibit will be open to the public this year as well in the Dorris Rider Art Gallery in the Frey (fry) Administrative Center on the North Central Missouri College campus.

The grand opening will be held Wednesday at 4:30 pm.
