Wet Planting

Northwest Missouri planters have had to re-plant corn in some counties because of the standing water… others are still pushing to get it in.

Holt County Extension Specialist Wayne Flannery says the wet conditions do vary by where the crop is going in.

Flannery says some producers may have to give up on corn at this late stage and plant beans instead to ensure a good yield.
