The University in Maryville has been piloting a program where textbooks are available over Laptop computers, which the school provides to students.
Now, Northwest has selected the Vital Source Bookshelf Platform as its format for delivery.
The Vital Source technology will allow students to not just read textbooks on the computer, but also highlight, annotate, and search text.
The Vice President of the company says Northwest could become a model for other schools.
The students using the Northwest E-Textbooks pilot say it's more convenient than using traditional books.
