CITY ADMINISTRATOR ZAC JOHNSON TOLD THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN GALLATIN IS PASSING ON THE 2009 DEMOLITION GRANT AFTER MANY OF THE OWNERS OF THE 35 IDENTIFIED PROPERTIES THE MONEY WOULD HELP SHOWED A LACK OF INTEREST.

THE CITY NEEDED ALL 35 OWNERS TO SIGN CONSENT FORMS IN ORDER FOR THE CITY TO BE CONSIDERED.

JOHNSON SAYS SEVERAL REFUSED TO SIGN.

GALLATIN IS MOVING FORWARD WITH PLANS FOR A TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT GRANT FOR SIDEWALKS AROUND THE SQUARE.

ALSO DURING THE RECENT MEETING POLICE CHIEF MARK RICHARDS TOLD THE BOARD HIS DEPARTMENT WILL BE SENDING OUT CODE VIOLATION LETTERS SOON.

THE GALLATIN POLICE WILL ALSO START INSPECTING A-T-V'S BEFORE PERMITS ARE ISSUED TO VERIFY THE VEHICLES MEET STATE AND CITY REQUIREMENTS.
