Chillicothe Teen Enforcement

The enforcement effort ran the last half of March where officers were on the lookout for teen drivers wearing seatbelts.

The Chillicothe police say in the 16 day run they initiated 162 traffic stops and issued a total of 34 citations.

Those include 5 seat belt violations, 7 speeding tickets, 2 DWI's and 20 other traffic related tickets.

The police department says it will continue promoting seat belts as the single best defense in a crash.
