Quitman Audit Response
The Missouri Auditor's Office found several deficiencies into how the village in northwest Missouri conducts business.
But board Treasurer Donna Stover says much of the questions came because documentation couldn't be found as auditors prepared their report.
She says the findings proper minutes of meetings weren't kept properly were true, but a record of each meeting is audio taped.
Stover adds notices of the meetings were also posted, but there was no documentation to show auditors.
She adds all the deficiencies in the way the village does business are being worked on and they are working with the state to ensure officials know the Quitman board is operating properly.
