The arrests netted everything from marijuana to cocaine and cash. The patrol says the first happened when troopers stopped a northbound nissan maxima going north on Interstate 35. During the stop troopers became suspicious and called in the patrol canine, Charlie. Investigators say he hit on 20 pounds of marijuana in a duffle bag. The driver was Excelsior Springs resident Aaron Johnston, who was arrested and is currently being held. The second was also on Interstate 35 in Harrison County- when Charlie hit on two and a half pounds of cocaine in a cadillac driven by a Minnesota resident. They also confiscated more than 3 thousand dollars in cash. And the third stop was in Daviees county when the trooper noticed an apparent narcotics bag in the truck after it was stopped. The driver also had what appeared to be marijuana in his mouth. The Michigan driver had 3 felony arrest warrants out for him. He was arrested and 5 pounds of marijuana taken in as evidence.
