It's called "Empty Bowls", and is part of an international effort to stamp out hunger.
Diners will be able to purchase a 15 dollar ticket and get supper in a hand-made pottery bowl… and then get to keep the bowl as a reminder empty bowls still need to be filled.
Erin Oehler is a coordinator of the project and says potters from the Northwest Clay Club made hundreds of bowls for tonight's event.
Proceeds from the project will go to Maryville's food bank- the Ministry Center.
Tonight "Empty Bowls" dinner starts at 6 at "The Station" conference center on the Northwest Missouri State campus.
