Northwest Missouri Soybean Pest

Producers at the Graves-Chapple farm in Albany have demonstrated high cyst numbers on the beans are significantly reduced over time when planted with continuous corn.

The experiment also used herbicides to keep the field clean of winter weeds which also contributed to reducing the pest levels.

The use of a non-host crop to test soybean cyst reduction has been ongoing for 4 planting seasons.
