E-Textbooks

The university is piloting "e-textbooks".

Eleven academic disciplines on the Maryville campus are having their students read the electronic versions of the textbook on their laptop computers, rather than issue physical books.

Paul Klute is helping coordinate the project with Mcgraw-Hill and says the new technology means learning flexibility.

Klute says besides the 11 academic departments any student using a traditional Mcgraw-Hill textbook at Northwest this trimester can also have access codes for the e-version online to try it out.
