"I'll be home for Chritsmas" could take on a very special meaning for a family in Beford this year.
Thirteen year old Kyle Yehle has been discharged from a St. Louis hospital after receiving a new heart. The transplant was done on December 4th when he and his mother were preparing for a checkup at a clinic there. Instead, they got the call a donor had been found and Kyle was rushed in for preperations and received the new heart later that evening.
Yehle was discharged from the hospital over the weekend and plans are to spend this week in St. Louis as doctors monitor his progress.
If all goes well, he could be back home in Bedford for Christmas.
