We hear a lot now about he financial crisis and comparisons of "wall street and main street".

But our location in America could actually shelter us from the turmoil.

That's according to Matt LeCerf, the city manager in Maryville.

He says sales taxes bring in most of the monthly revenues for the city… and he doesn't see that changing too much.

Lecerf says it's possible property tax revenue could fall if the housing market goes soft in the credit crunch, but overall doesn't anticipate the wall street jitters having a huge hit on city budgets.
