To inform and serve the community, to increase the quality of cultural fare,to provide instruction, education, information, entertainment, and cultural
enrichment to all listeners within the reach of our signal, using all possible resources of the community, of the university, of national and international sources of good programming and of the people themselves.

To strengthen the interest and understanding of the people in the aims and policies as well as the programs and services of the University.

To offer valuable training experience to advanced students of broadcasting, helping them to develop the level of professionalism they need in preparation for careers in broadcasting.
